Dr. Khavar Dar, MD, FACP, FCCP, FRCP

Dr. Khavar Dar is a board-certified physician specializing in critical care and pulmonary medicine. In 1983, he earned his medical degree from Rawalpindi Medical College in Rawalpindi, Pakistan, and after moving to the United States, he completed his internship and internal medicine residency at the University of Connecticut Health Center. He went on to complete his pulmonary and critical care fellowship at the prestigious Cornell University Medical College in New York City, and in 1999, he made the move to Odessa, TX. Since then, Dr. Dar has earned numerous awards and accolades for his work in the medical field and was even voted "Best Physician in the Permian Basin" by Odessa American voters.

After practicing medicine in Odessa, TX for almost 10 years, Dr. Dar opened Odessa Medical Enterprises in 2008, where he partnered with family nurse practitioner Janette Ornelas, FNP-C to help patients live their healthiest lives. In 2025, Dr. Dar joined the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center as an Associate Professor of Medicine and Chief of Pulmonary Medicine. Many patients say that Dr. Dar's caring & friendly demeanor are only part of why they seek him for all of their pulmonary care needs.
